The perfect location imo. There are a ton of wealthy consumers in north Toronto who head to Yorkdale but the Eaton Centre still feels like the retail heart of the city. The number of tourists on this part of Yonge shouldn't be discounted either. Next to none of them will go to Yorkdale. Some would go to Yorkville but I'd rather that remained high end.

If the luxury end of the market prospers and the Hudson's Bay store at Yonge/Bloor gets re-developed, I could see Saks re-locating there. Nordstrom should stay where they are.

Well the window effects are cool... Samsung Store will be awesome I'm sure.

Hard Rock closed up now. They are clearing out the space for Shoppers now.

Also, this is a serious LED billboard. Biggest, I've seen in the Square.

What's a Jordan store? Judging by the logo they sell basketball inspired products?

They are a big department store. The options are extremely limit. The Eaton Centre was their only option in the downtown.

It's a Nike shoe store that sells Air Jordans.

Stuff like this is not nearly as ubiquitous as some people think.

And isaidso is actually a basket-ball fan!

Thank you. It largely depends on what circles one travels in. That whole culture is largely a mystery to me. I know it exists but have zero interest in it. I don't consume much pop culture either. Up until a few months ago I thought Ariana Grande was a drink at Starbucks. In my defense, Paris Hilton didn't know what Walmart was.

I do love basketball but have never shopped for basketball shoes let alone bought a pair.

Don't worry, it's a form of generic specialty store where brand-addled zombies go to overpay for over-hyped crap that they have been told is cool on their Twitter feed.

Manufactured by slave labour somewhere in Asia, of course. (overpay/underpay is a feature of our current Western 'culture')

Ariana Grande - Starbucks lol!

Ah by pretending to not know what it is you are trying to belittle it and the people that like it. And Paris is just ignorant

Relax, it's only temporary. How long do you think these things last? Brand-addled idiots will move on to the next thing and Jordan's will seem 'so latish 20 teens' in a couple of years.

The way this already super shitty 'square' is going, look for a mega denture clinic to open in the near future.

But it'll be 'MEGA'!! and it'll be 'HUGE'!!

And there will be MASSIVE DENTURE SCREENS!!!

I'm not a shoe or basketball guy by any means but I can't understand how anyone born in the 80s or earlier could not know what Jordans were. It wasn't not like today where you can easily ignore anything you don't like, you'd to be completely disconnected from society. Jordan and his Nike commercials were as ubiquitous as Michael Jackson songs.
