Biguc is right. It looks like a mistake. They really have no choice but to install whatever panels they have, because you can't install the old ones in the new system. They will simply swap them out when the proper ones arrive.

If you look at the original renderings though, it did look like they were trying to have different size horizontal stripes top to bottom. Like how there's the black strips at the bottom too.

I think they already have the mullion caps on. They have long silver pieces over he joints already.

The silver pieces don't look like the finished product to me. Aren't the mullion caps going to be thick and black, as in the rendering? There's a small section near the bottom of the tower done that way, with thick black trim (I assume as a test).

This side almost looks finished. They put the last piece of glass at the top on friday.I actually like it more now that it's done, it does seem to be coming together better than I expected.

I haven't been close enough to confirm but I took those to be pressure plates.

Not very often do you get a 50% reclad of a building in the vertical fashion. Usually it is floor by floor. It gives a real neat visual impression of old vs new.

Okay. I really have no idea! Just looks like a silver strip.

Anyways. Building is looking really nice. And like Biff mentioned, neat to seat a building so visually distinct in the vertical direction.

330 St Mary reclad will have 3 sides completed this year. South side will stay as is for the winter. So similar to 300 Main, but wont be such a distinct difference in colour.

Edit: They will in fact be completing the south side of 330 St Mary over the winter.

Such a dramatic difference to the boring beige that dominates the cluster. I would love to see this for the Bestlands Building:

I actually spoke to some folks at 360 about this today. They and the contractor were well aware that this; it is a mild error that will be fixed.

I think there was some testing done and they just had to seal it up immediately after also. Perhaps the right panel wasn't available at the time?

They laughed my concern off for thinking this would be permanent, so that's a relief.

Agreed.

All major banks are prominent in this area, working with/for the highest concentration of Winnipeg's business activity. Would be a huge fail if they moved away from that.

Right now, Hardvard has major presence with TD and Royal Bank, as does Artis with BMO and Royal Bank (not to mention CIBC in the Richardson).

It's weird they didn't do the corners. I wonder what the deal is.
