I do imagine as Tempe 'builds out' (and people realize what a traffic mess it has become as a result) that some of this will return to downtown/mid-town. The benefit it has is that it's built to move massive amounts of people in/out of the region. And now its population is growing too - educated population with ASU down there. So just give it some time, it'll have a rebirth in corporate HQ growth at some point down the line.

Do you know which name it's listed as under the Tempe Development portal?

It's fascinating to me when I see pictures of Tempe and have not a clue where they are in the City. Back in my day (I'm not that old!) we got excited about The Brickyard opening or when they finally filled up the lake.

Thanks Muertecaza. I also saw this fence on Farmers by the Beam development. I went to formthird website but didn’t find anything. The lot is not that big.

Read the city council meeting schedule for today and found out I was not chosen for the alternate position in the Development Review Commission. Expected, but still RIP to me. Gotta beef up my list of qualifications.

I wonder if this level of thoroughness for land use attorneys like having a website and inviting all this feedback is the new norm or they're just doing their due dilligence. I can't imagine there'd be a lot of interest or controversy over a 3/4 story project.

DRC is stacked heavily with actual design professionals and people typically well known in real estate and development. I feel like an ordinary citizen would have almost no chance unless they were well known in the community.

Get to know your city councilor and start volunteering for charities they're affiliated with.

^FYI, the guy you lost to is a founding director of the School of Sustainability at ASU. It would be impossible for nearly anyone to compete with that, so don't feel bad.

Not sure, but I wonder if it's COVID-motivated. Pre-COVID seemed like they would do in-person neighborhood meetings with in-person materials. With virtual meetings becoming the norm since COVID, I'm guessing that means putting things online, which certainly makes it easier for us forum-heads to poke around for stuff.

This is pretty cool. The Depot finally was a website up with a few videos of the development.
