^ $1.8 mil for 2 bedrooms? Wow, where are the buyers going to come from?

They must be going after at least some international buyers. If I were going to pay $1.8 million I would want a lot more than 2 bedrooms

There's a lot more people in the city with this type of money than you'd think. I didn't even have an idea until I got to know a friend of mine better who used to work with a small investment firm.

Plenty of buyers to just throw money around. When you have a lot if it, you don't have to be rational to pay 1000+ Psf. Just my opinion, after living downtown in a highrise with some decent views and right on the mag mile, you wonder why people care about the location so much anywhere else.

Pretty much. If you're a household with say $50M to your names and need a new place to live, then around $2M might not be a huge deal especially given location, the unit, etc even if that would buy you way more in a suburb or other part of town.

I was watching them do this while waiting outside of 500 N LSD for someone this morning. Slipping those short little sheet piles into the mud like a hot knife into butter. Pretty crazy piece of equipment.

I'm not one for faux classical architecture, but if the final product comes out looking like this, I'll be pretty pleased. It's pretty thin on it's E/W profile and the lighting scheme is nice. I'm curious though how they plan to achieve that "brick by brick" limestone effect clearly visible at the crown, using precast?

I more or less assumed that was the answer. Too bad though, wouldn't be a half bad building if they actually used honest materials.
