There definitely was a project labeled '2100' and I don't remember seeing '2020' before. Then again, how sure are we that this is an actual project. Fitzgerald tends to have a couple of projects that didn't get off the ground.

That's an old project from last cycle......maybe 06 or 07........actually one of two Fitzgerald designed towers in the same area - I believe by the same developer - that never got off the ground......

I'm glad this is one of the worst designs we've seen in the last 5 years or so. Let's stay on the offensive and even put this moderately confused garbage to rest as well as all the pomo crap that seems to have ceased to exist sans RAMSA and that shit at Irving and Sheridan. If this is all we have to complain about out of the last 15+ designs we've seen, then we are doing quite well.

I'm saying. I happen to like confused messes of buildings (read: postmodern architecture). But it looks like this won't be built anyway. Oh well.

800 S Michigan looks great. Oxford has been pretty good with the designs of its new construction (see London House a few posts above and Godfrey). Now I'm looking forward to what Pritzker has in store for 830 S Michigan.

Yeah, both of these designs are very old...so old that I can't remember the details like whether or not they were proposed by that developer (name escapes me) who fled the country...so really no point in discussing.

It really did. The color palette is great, and the satin finish on the facade panels looks great (let's hope it ages reasonably well). A very sophisticated and deferential insert.

Those openings are inset showing a black covered surface of the podium concrete.
Looks like windows will be installed and backlit to create an illusion of inside space, IMO .

cool image, but it looks like he's made 113 e roosevelt & 1000 s michigan too tall. given how far south those buidlings would be, they would certainly appear shorter from that vantage point given perspective shrinkage.

they would be nowhere near as prominent from that angle as the image depicts them.
