Try cutting and pasting new urls in there until you "get" it.

This week the moonstar restaurant closed up and moved out. No sign of anyone else moving in.

I can't wait for this one go up. It reminds me of a dorm building done recently at M.I.T. It's risk, reward is up there. Bless them.

Me too! I'm very anxious to see this one's skin. If it's anywhere close to the rendering, it should look great.

Interesting to watch it going up -Ive never paid much attention to what order these things are built - don't the start the lower exterior even before the top floors are on? do they start then interior after the exterior? and how do they get the plumbing in when floors are solid concrete? Im still trying to figure out from the drawings if the the third floor from the street ( the plaza entrance level ) is apts or lobby. looks like plaza level apts with patios. minus the basement levels there needs to be 20 apts per floor with 10 each on the top two

those soma grand resident r gonna be pissed when they lose their view

500,000 and up for this view of the apartments next door! how 'grand!'

i think the soma will look better with other tall buildings around so it doesnt stick out like a sore thumb so much

In other words, it will look better when you can't see it. I agree!

Oye...we discussed that many pages back. The sad part is that you'll always see it from the other side where it looks the worst.

Yeah, I remember. I'm still trying to be hopeful that Trinity will help minimize its prominence. But you're right about the view from the south and east. It would help if someone built something tall directly across the street.

I guess thats the chance you have to take in the city. Never really know when you get a new taller neighbor.

I have some new pics, taken from the fourth floor, but they won't post to my web site. Anyway what's done so far is the two bottom floors which looks like the basement and mission st entrance, then the lobby level 1st floor and interior elevated plaza level. 2nd 3rd and 4th floor apt levels. The building is 24 floor floors but the it actually 26 if count from mission street basement levels. If i find a place to post these pics ill put a link here.
