Sawtelle Neighborhood

Federal Ave / Rochester Ave

I can not find any information online about this project. However, looks like quite a large complex. Not sure how many floors it will be.

I had Truly Nolen over yesterday to do an inspection of my house for termites and, no termites, and I asked him about these 5 story wooden apartment buildings they're building all over the country, and he claimed that all the wood used in these buildings is pre-treated for termites. Not sure if that's true or not. Let's hope that's true!

It's coming along! Is that the high-rise on the left?

I believe so. I checked out the construction last week and saw how the corner curved the same way the renderings portray the high rise.

The 9900 Wilshire, aka One Beverly Hills project has news-

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/artic...-hills-complex

Not much detail in that release other than Norman Foster involvement.
So the two questions are-
-Is the long running (and approved) Richard Meier design toast?
-Will the Beverly Hilton condo build-out get updated (again) as well?

Both projects shown in one frame courtesy of Urbanize-

A shame because I really liked the Meier design, but having Foster instead is just as good.

Yes that's the highrise. I spoke to a foreman on site and he said delivery is scheduled for fall 2020.

Surprised no one has posted my favorite proposal of 2019.

New high rise for Rossmore, my favorite street in Los Angeles, and a model for a potential high rise typology to be repeated across the whole of the city.

^ That looks pretty good! Not sure about the location though... to my knowledge, Santa Monica doesn't intersect DeLongpre.

What’s up with that community development called Centennial @ Tejon Ranch?? I thought California learned and was down with the spread of suburban sprawl?? Do people really support that? I honestly think that land should be preserved.. so it’s beautiful the way it looks... and besides we dont need any more sprawl. I understand we need housing, but suburbs isn’t the answer imo.
