Residential units cut from the plans with a toned down design, but the number of hotel rooms has increased from 170 to 455.

To me, the new rendering is more appealing than the previous.

Planned to open in 2019? Is this already under construction then? 2019 is pretty close for an open date.

The lot previously planned for the Loews was sold in November 2021 to Houston developer DeisoMoss. Since then, a new proposal for a single, 43-story mixed use tower has emerged for this site.

On April 7 of this year, it was reported that DeisoMoss secured $26M in pre-construction financing.

Subsequent articles in local media have recapped the sale as well as the following about the tower...

The current version of this tower will reportedly feature 348 apartment units, 100K SF of office space and 25K SF of retail and restaurant space. Construction is expected to begin in 2023, with apartments coming online in 2024 and overall completion in 2025.

Several renderings from Ziegler Cooper's website

Several additional renderings from the architect that were featured in an April 27 article from the Houston Chronicle

Very nice! I love Houston. It's my favorite Sunbelt city (excluding Miami).

I'd guess it would be over 500', given there is a mix of office and residential and office ceiling heights tend to be higher than residential.

A couple of nearby proposals have fewer floors and are both supposed to be over 500'.

1661 Tanglewood - 34 Floors / 522'

3615 Montrose Blvd - 36 Floors / 512'

Even though the height hasn't been announced, I wouldn't be shocked if an even closer tower hits the 500' mark, if not a bit over.

Uptown Oaks - 34 Floors
