I understand how you could walk in there and think it is kind of crazy. But the layout doesn't bother me in the least. The first time I went in, it was as confusing as confusing can be. The second time, I could roughly find my way around. By the third time, I was as precise and efficient there as any other supermarket. No, it doesn't have the standard suburban big box layout. And you can certainly provide examples of "why isn't product x closer to product y". It is different, but I think it is very good - especially considering the fact that they had to integrate the outdoor eating space, indoor eating space, beer wall, ready-made food, etc.
(I know what you are thinking but no, I don't work for Giant.)
