What a great capper to Wacker and wonderful addition to the river canyon. Looks so much more imposing than I could have possibly anticipated

Is that an amenity floor or will there be a resteraunt? Sick views with that long glass.

Now imagine what a 1200' South tower would have looked like there.

This one has really impressed me as well. Beautiful building and height is surprisingly impressive in person.

I'm sure the bulky Merchandise Mart and Apparel Center add to perceived verticality. But curious if the 679ft is from street level? Probably a silly question and I'd assume this is indeed the case. But it seems we're easily getting another 30-40ft from the river level views. Obviously plenty of skyscrapers up and down the Chicago River but my guess is this unique location sticking out in the river with plenty of space for those E>W and S>N pictures adding to the height of this one.

That render shows it much lower than it actually is.

I don't know...seems like it should appear like another 10 feet above the bridgehouse. The Mezz is 34' from the Plaza and another 4 feet from the road level on the East side. The bridgehouse can't be more than 20'.

Flaccer - that 675' height is in fact from the Plaza. which is 31' 3" above the Chicago City Datum.

"The City Datum is hereby established as a plane 17.640 feet below the bench mark cut on top of the bottom stone of the granite base at the southeast corner of the Northern Trust Company bank building at the northwest corner of South Lasalle Street and West Monroe Street"

I know they dont want to advertise the wrong building but I wish they would have plugged Vista into that patio shot.

This tower is looking like it will exceed my already high expectations. So well-designed and executed. Just a stellar visual northern bookend to N-S Wacker Dr. Not to shabby from the north either. WPW is tough to top, but they may have done just that here.
