Well what are they going to do then when there wind blown precipitation of any kind (such as in a hurricane or nor'easter) occurs? Such occurrences aren't rare in Lower Manhattan.

Wouldn't it be good practice that in such a situation they have some form of makeshift way of shielding the interior of the building or that the interior materials are designed to be more durable than usual?
