I know someone out there has updates on what's going on in Spokane. I saw the proposed tower at the falls website has a 360 cam now.

Specific financial context of the developer aside I think the pandemic will end up being a net positive for Spokane. Look at what's happening with home prices in the Spokane area, people are looking to relocate from high cost centers and away from specific types of dysfunctional local politics.

My story as an example -- I'm from Spokane, moved away more than a decade ago and have since lived in several tech hubs. I'm entertaining the idea of moving back, but probably wouldn't be if not for the pandemic. I can buy a heck of a lot more home here than nearly anywhere else on the west coast paired with a decent (at worst) city. I think this project has the fundamentals right, but I've no idea what the developer's constraints are right now.

I bought my house for$109,000 in Spokane and it’s 1,700 sq ft. You’re right about that, Brother. I really want to see this high rise get down, but now I just don’t see it happening.

“Built” not “down”. Stupid auto correct.

Top emerging real estate markets in the country, CDA #1 and Spokane rounding out the top 5!

Might be a good time to get in on some property in the area while you can.

It's nice to get properties in Spokane since housing expenses are pretty lower compared to others. Also, quality school systems, and vibrant arts and culture scene are just a few of the characteristics that entice new residents.

WA: Getting There: Can Spokane's light rail effort be revived?

Spokesman-Review
Mon., Aug. 16, 2021
By Ted McDermott

"When Dick Raymond walked into the first meeting about the possibility of light rail in Spokane, he was, like many, more than a little skeptical.

“I literally asked, ‘Why are we doing this?’ ” he said on Friday. “Because I thought it was a –”

Raymond was searching for a word, and his fellow members of the Inland Empire Rail Transit Association were happy to help him out.

“Boondoggle,” they agreed.

But that was more than two decades ago, in 2000, soon after the Spokane Transit Authority and the Spokane Regional Transportation Council created a light rail steering committee. That panel began considering the design and feasibility of a form of transit that was already well established in Portland and taking shape in Seattle..."
