5 Shots / 1 Subject

So I was going through my computer of pictures I have taken in my neighborhood, and one building seemed to keep popping up in many of the photos in a variety of settings and lighting conditions. So, I sort of thought it would be fun for everyone to take one subject and represent it in various ways using a maximum of 5 photographs. Since there are twenty available posting spots on a page, that would lead to 100 photographs per page--not terrible but still potentially tedious. So, I am adding the additional requirement that your first post be the description of the subject matter (as fancy or as minimal as you like), and your second post be the photo set (this should keep it down to 50 shots per page).

If the idea sucks, please feel free to ignore this thread entirely--I won't take offense. Furthermore, if it really sucks and/or is considered not appropriate for this section a moderator can just close it down. Anyway, let's see how it ends up working out, shall we? I'll start.

(to avoid jumbled postings between forum members posting at the same time [provided that this is a hot thread--unlikely], have image code strings at the ready!)

(so my example isn't that interesting, but there is no shortage of great photographers here, so let's see what you got!)

^Wow, that's a pretty cool building! Great pics, Jibba.

Cool idea for a thread, I hope it'll work out fine!

Here's my first contribution, a building well known to all of you I guess:

Turning Torso, Malmö Sweden
Santiago Calatrava
Built 2001-2005

"Poor"? Yeah right, those are excellent! You managed to match the building's color with both an automobile and a Hooter's awning in the same shot, and with a fountain and a trellis in another. Props.

I also like how you put a shot of a very pedestrian and banal part of the building after a view of one of its most ornate angles.

(Thanks for the compliment, hydro)
