Does anyone know what’s going on with that lightweight steel structure they are hanging off the north west corner? Is that part of the building or a temporary thing - maybe support for a safety skirt of some kind?

Probabably similar to the one they used at the Spiral.

Wondering why they are hanging that large plate off of that building… They’re starting to ruin the developing look.

What are you talking about? It’s temporary, who cares what it looks like while under construction.

Nice! I think I could walk around there for hours trying to figure out how it's all coming together. Fortunately NYguy photos are the next best thing.

it's amazing how completely imposing it is when you get in sight of it, but walk a block and you would never know it was there. yet!!!

Yeah, half the time I have no intentions of taking photos, but if I’m close enough, I’m drawn to it. It’s like some strange, massive alien thing that has to be seen. And it really is something to see. In a month or two, when the lower floors are high enough to give an impact, the massive scale will become even more apparent to the man on the street.

About a month ago, a couple of older women asked me what I thought about it so far, and I didn’t want to spoil it for them. With no renderings on site, or anywhere else, it will be a slow reveal.

Lol. By older, I mean seniors. I don’t think they were too sure about what’s taking shape. And it is odd if you don’t have an idea.

So we’re not taking about Liz Hurley at 56, but rather, the Golden Girls?

We know that this tower will be iconic. I look forward to seeing renderings of what the public space will look like, especially on the Madison Avenue side.

We already have a glimpse of Madison. That's the only rendering they have on site.

I've seen those, but I want to see more about the water features. I suspect that those are waterwalls on either side of the Madison Ave entrance and that they flow down into the pools on the ground.

The landscaping on the Madison Ave side looks great, and I'm curious what it will look like on the 47th and 48t St sides.

Hopefully they can nail the landscaping. That's one area NYC tends to be a little lackluster in. Curious how 15 Penn will handle the alleged trees and flora per renderings.
