Maybe 400k at most...Edmonton is still under 1.2 million, and we are 750k...regardless; anyone who would compare Winnipeg to Regina is a moron.

Then that would be 400K. Either way, that's still 1.5 times our size, quite a difference.

Regardless, we should be looking at Edmonton and Calgary for comparisons. They are closer than Quebec City and Hamilton, and have a much more direct impact on how we grow and evolve. Keeping up with them is more critical for the survival of Winnipeg as one of Canada's main city, rather than Hamilton and Quebec City.

Anyways, let's keep this thread on track, please.

Apparently it will also open in 2014...Anyways that's the aim lol.

You know how construction can be...but residential towers always seem to go easy.

I hope by 2014 we have some more towers being built. Would be nice to have one every year or two going through so that whole "19 towers in 25 years" article from the Free Press comes true

I assume the render just gives it that washed-out look. Either way, I'm far less critical of residential structures downtown then I am anything else. We just need them, and have no time to be too choosy.
