The Kennedy is such a blight, why haven't they capped it yet? Dallas has done it and they're working on expanding it right now, you're telling me Chicago can't do it?

Property values would skyrocket with that car sewer out the way. Imagine being able to walk from the WL to the Loop and instead seeing nice parkspace and people enjoying themselves instead of a massive highway with cars stuck in traffic.

I think others have mentioned IDOT being an impediment, though I'm not sure. I know years ago Fifield put out a rendering but it seemed their selling point was that it could spur development on adjacent lots, but it now it seems the momentum of the area is doing that on its own.

I think you're right about its impact though. When it happens I expect it will be comparable to Millennium Park in terms of improving quality of life, connectivity and vibrancy downtown.

I never quite understood how Fulton St. Cos. was going to pull off 1201 and 1200 W. Fulton St. on their own. This makes a lot more sense.

I wonder when they will start construction. The possibility of a 600 to 700 footer in that area is very exciting

It might be a while. I don't believe 1200 Fulton has been "officially" released, nor has it received the necessary approvals. Regarding 1201 Fulton, I recall the original plan was to break ground early this summer. So, we might see action with that project by the end of the year.

Foundation work should be finishing up on 360 N Green, 741 N Wells, and 311 W Huron in the next few weeks I believe.

I imagine there's some effort to continuously schedule both equipment and workers smoothly, so I wonder if we'll see a few groundbreakings right after those finish up.

Seems there are several under construction between 100 and 600 feet which are missing.
