They need to re-establish a connection with the younger generation of kids and teens. After the "old white guys" and folks like me in the 35+ age group, there's nobody coming after them to fill the seats. Kids bring parents, parents bring wallets and kids leave with a new favorite team and maybe a hat/shirt/jersey to boot. IMO, that's where they need to start. Of course, putting a team on the field that can win would help too

Charging $20-$30 for upper deck tickets instead of $70 would be a good start. And bring back college corner and the Knothole gang in some capacity.
Where did you see $70 for upper bowl? I only paid maybe $33 for upper bowl this past season.

That makes eleven (11) straight where we give up the first goal, ELEVEN.

Steal of a deal, hell of a player and could become our much needed 'Tkachuk' addition. There is no denying that he is talented, but is this desperation and will his drama/baggage/attitude interfere with his success and the team's?

I am quite divided on this one.

i’m prepared to keep an open mind on this one thinking back to a long series of problem/project players that have turned their lives and careers around in edmonton from craig mactavish to zack kassian…

hopefully there’s enough strength and support from the locker room and from the stands, not a hero’s welcome perhaps but an “okay, you’re here and you’re part of the team so welcome, as long as you don’t screw it up”.

'A W is a W' seems to be a common theme for me now.

MK played well tonight.

Can someone tell Drai to shoot versus attempting the deke.

I am still frustrated by shots/goal ratio and find it incredibly frustrating that we cannot get a W in regulation.

Looking forward to the Habs.

So Evander Kane is an Edmonton Oiler and has been exiled to the great White North. The Oilers are in the reclamation business and next up is Kane. Lets see if he can stick to hockey and stay away from external distractions. No casino to visit at Rogers - its closed right

What game(s) did you go to? I know the Esks/Elks up ticket prices for certain games (Stamps, Riders). That may have been what games I was looking at, I can't recall off the top of my head.

The Edmonton Elks have signed former Ohio State star quarterback J.T. Barrett, it was announced Friday.

Barrett started 44 games for the Buckeyes from 2014 to 2017, winning the Big Ten Conference's Griese-Brees Quarterback of the Year award three times (2014, 2016, 2017) and a national championship in 2014.

His best statistical season came as a senior when he threw for 3,053 yards with 35 touchdowns compared to nine interceptions. He added 798 yards on the ground and 12 rushing touchdowns.

Barrett signed with the New Orleans Saints after going undrafted in 2018 and spent the majority of the season on the Saints' practice roster. He also spent time with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Seattle Seahawks and most recently with the Dallas Cowboys in mini camp last year.

Stamps game September 11th, I think I only paid $35 or something for the upper deck.

Pointing to a lack of leadership at a player level/'in the room' as well as the coach.

Tippett and Playfair fired as per Darren Dreger. Woodcroft and Manson to take over head and assistant coaches respectively. Gulutzan and Schwartz remain assistant and goalie coaches respectively.
