I think it fits your rule

Steel, the product, obviously has very strong cultural ties to Pittsburgh -- "the Steel City." So much so that the football team is named the Steelers, and the American Iron & Steel Institute requested that the Steelers use their logo on their helmets. The Steel branding is much more associated with the Steelers than it even is with the product/industry. Instant association/tie with/to Pittsburgh.
Far more than Cadillac or Pontiac brands are associated with Detroit, for instance.
