You may have respect for innovative entrepreneurs by principle without necessarily idolize that single one Elon Musk.
I don't see the point of his tunnels for cars. You're bored in a tunnel anyway. At least in a subway, you can read a book or play with your phone. It kills boredom.
Try to read anything in a car, you'll feel sick in a matter of minutes.
We could also talk about his SpaceX business that's probably been entirely backed by NASA and the tremendous knowledge and experience they earned over the past decades, since the 1960s, thus at American taxpayer expense. But that's another story.
I don't see anything outstanding in that individual anyway. He's just a tech opportunist who actually benefits from taxpayer money for his own fame.
Nothing extraordinary in there.
