GOULDS | Valencia Tower | 150 FT | 15 FLOORS

I contemplated making a thread, but this region is booming and really needs some light shined on it. A 15 story tower proposed in rural suburbs is somewhat crazy!

Valencia Tower

Specifics:
Quote:
Units: 159 (16 are workforce)
Parking Spaces: 179
Floors: 15
FT: 150 FT
Retail SF: 1,594 SF
Architect: Double C Designs
Developer: Taurus Development
Location: 11888 SW 220 ST , Unincorporated County, FL, 33170-2961

This will join the wave of towers 10 floors and above proposed in the region. Still can't wrap my head around the logistics behind proposing something so dense blocks away from farmland but Miami-Dade is a unique scenario.

Was gonna but then I realized nowhere in the U.S. is named Goulds and this area will see more threads anyway... so just get used to it!

Or just call it Miami or Unincorporated Miami-Dade County (which it is)

Goulds is more specific and calling it Miami-Dade or unincorporated could mean anywhere that isn't formally incorporated.

But to remove confusion I'll do all future threads as: GOULDS (South Miami-Dade), including Princeton which is also seeing development near 120 FT.

Or I could just clump it into a General Developments thread I was thinking about instead of making threads in the main page because there isn't a large community for it anyway.

For the record I'd never heard of "Goulds". Had to use the googler. When I saw the title it sounded like it was another random Toronto burb I'd never heard of. "Goulds" without the context of "FL" or "Miami" in the title has the same level of specificity as "Springfield".
