A little different angle.

This is a rendering (the development in the lower center), but most of it is a real photo:

I started scrolling up from the bottom 4 photos and didn't recognize it as Philly, though it was London at first. Theres so many new high rises in Philly that its hardly recognizable from some views anymore, love it.

Austin more or less from the same view 60 years apart.

1957.

2017

The bridge is the same one, but it was expanded in the 80s. You can just barely see the UT Tower in this one poking above the horizon above the photographer's name on the left side. And it's actually possible to see some of those old buildings in the first photo in this one in the area above the bridge below that white stair stepped building.

It was a nicer place in 1957.

Austin - these are from 2016, so a few of the buildings in these have already been finished and a few more have started since then.

Is it just me or do Australian cities all look like they were designed in Sim City?

Australia is very advertised in my country these days. French citizens to try their chance over there!

I don't see why you guys would kind of disparage it. It's quite an interesting country nowadays.
And probably even more than just 'interesting'...

I see what you mean.

They do look very planned. Plenty of park space, which increases Co$$$ and R$$.

That first one of Melbourne by jens looks like City Skylines.
