I noticed fencing up around the existing structure at 1382 Peachtree. I wonder if construction will start soon on the apartment tower.

Their land development permit was issued last month so I think this one is a go.

Also, the permit for Hub on Campus has been issued and can start construction.

I'm excited for the next round of construction starting. I'm particularly anxious for Hanover, Tollman Brothers and Portman to get moving.

They actually had thrown up some barriers on Peachtree place near to between Williams and spring with a sign about construction traffic, so should be imminent too.

Someone's doing soil testing at the old Eviva site (Peachtree and 6th). Not sure what that's for. It was going on earlier this year, too.

Maybe they are building NOpus on the Evita site?

On site surveying this morning.

Would love to see the lot across 17th St developed (it is for sale). it is a nice piece of property with frontage on West and Peachtree.

Looking west on Peachtree.

looking east on West Peachtree.

More activity at the Cousin's site. However it looks more like cleanup(?) with several workers there. Not sure what's going on.

IIRC there was a rendering for this lot sometime about 10 (?) years ago. Of course I knew it wouldn't happen but it was nice and quite tall.

Back in 2008, a development team involving Jamestown was planning a tower designed by SOM that was to include an Intercontinental Hotel, office, and condos and was reported to be up to 70 stories.  I don't think there was ever a rendering before the economic crash.   Dewberry purchased the site in 2011.

This is the Dewberry-related rendering.

Dewberry is an utter joke. The Campanile looks horrendous not finished, I wish the city would sue his ass.

Thoughts on which will break ground first: Core Spaces' Hub on Campus at 960 Spring Street (where the Alibi club currently stands) or Lincoln Ventures' 859 Spring Street (where the Office Depot used to be, and more recently Georgia Pacific office space).
