The high voltage powerline alignment over Shoal Creek couldn't be more of a joke. It's terrible and detracts from the scenery. Maybe it comes down to individual opinion so I'll concede that point to my personal taste. High voltage lines over an area where a lot of people will be under is also not very desirable.

Like I said, not expecting the situation to change in the near term but nothing wrong with keeping the discussion going because things can and will change over the long term. The city will eventually face the prospect of removing it completely and I don't see a problem with pushing the idea as I'm sure there are many who feel the same.

Going back to Austin Proper, I didn't know the windows are going to be pink! That's going to be awesome!
Totally agree on all your points 100%

What's this about the windows being pink? Like the mullions or the actual glass?

I think the light colored facade on Austin Proper sitting between the two darker ones on either side of it will really help accent the unique design of it.

Not pink, not quite blue. It looks GOOD. I am so excited for the interior and exterior of this. I really can't say that enough. This hotel will change the area sooo much.

Y'all should check out that new french joint (le politique) on 2nd for some spectacular canyon views....and food

The density is amazing, as is the country road that cuts through it.

It makes for a beautiful environment for fostering walkability. Will be amazing in two short years!

As long as the sidewalks are wide enough to keep pedestrians safe from the motor vehicles. The shade from the canyon of buildings should be a respite from the summer heat regardless of the time of day. How soon before they turn this into a one way street I wonder...
