^ Yeah that part of it is odd to me since they actually reduced the parking, so what is all that extra square footage in the podium used for? They added a whole extra floor! Just more amenity space, building systems, or leasable retail?

Soil testing at 640 W Washington this morning. Rendering looks awesome.

It's been shortened and blandified, unfortunately. Still a decent project and obviously better than a surface lot.

Damn, big reduction. I wonder why Crescent hasn’t updated their website.

Yeah, height reduction sucks, but again, another parking lot will bite the dust. It will be nice to have this infill as people walk between the Loop and Fulton Market.

I'm less upset about the height reduction than the drastic design change. It went from something unique that would've stood out regardless of height to another bland box...

Kinda boring but the facade still looks somewhat interesting. Still decent for the area and better than a parking lot.

I'm glad it got decapitated. The big planes of flush, reflective glass on the top portion would have made it look like a clumsy appendage in reality (as opposed to the lantern-like appearance they were selling it as).

Until you see a Port-O-Pottie on site, there's no guarantee that shit's going down...

There's actually hard truth to this. Who knows why?

Bueller? Bueller?

It's because the contractor is legally required to have restroom facilities on site upon issuance of a permit. If you have a permit, you have a portapotty.

I'm the opposite. I'm really not happy about the height reduction but the new design is superior to me. The first design looks goofy.

The permit review process has started for this project. It's a good sign that they've likely secured financing and intend to start construction.

Curiously, the application states the tower has grown to 43 stories

Hopefully this means they reverted back to the old design
