What’s with the four masted schooner? Seems an odd thing to squeeze through the Chicago river.

Is that at a cafe or restaurant in the river level?

I thought the riverwalk section of this development turned out rather nice when I stopped by 2 weeks ago, though it still isn't quite lush & green yet.

^ This thing is eye candy at the River level

The view up the south branch, with Salesforce at the terminus, is just going to be epic

spoke with Jim Goettsch on the phone last week and he dropped an interesting nugget about 110 N, don't know if it has been reported elsewhere, but he lamented the fact that they couldn't get the money to do the sawtooth motif on the east side... that would have been cool.

It would have been a huge improvement. The lobby is great, but it's just so bland and boring once you get 4 stories up. Then again, it's a pretty tight canyon along that part of Wacker. Most people don't look up as they pass from the Loop to the train stations. At least they did the sawtooth design on the river.

I was sort of surprised that no one uploaded photos of 110 Wacker from Open House Chicago last month. So here's my contribution.

The space on the 55th floor is incredible IMO. Surely one of the most impressive spaces in the city. The double ceilings on the 55th floor really make it. I heard a while back that a UK co-work/office membership firm had leased this floor maybe. Not sure. Also not sure if that withstood the pandemic. Anyone know who's got this space now?

Nice view of Fulton.

Anyone know what these beautiful historic builings are on the right? I hadn't noticed them before.

Saw some humans walking around the restaurant (Gibson's?) yesterday. The space looked nearly complete. Should open soon, I assume.

Anyone know what happened to that No.18 social club/coworking space that was supposed to lease out the penthouse? Did COVID kill that deal?

Ah thanks so much for that link - that's what I was thinking of. I vaguely think it was scrapped for the pandemic but I have no evidence to back this up. Am hoping someone can chime in for the record here what the current 'state of the 55th' is. It's such a fantastic space.

I don't know what is on the lower floor you mentioned but you can see a nicely stacked bar from the street so I'm excited to check that out as well if/when it is open.

The tower for BMO bank is called “BMO Tower” and the thread title reflects that.

I believe that this tower is also called “Bank of America Tower”. Thoughts on reflecting that name in the thread title?

Does anyone know if this building has been officially renamed "bank of America tower"?

If so, I'll happily edit the thread title.
