This looks much better than I anticipated. Has the Brininstool/Lynch designed addition started on top of Jewel at Pensacola Place? Anyone know?

We need the Clinton Subway and something akin to the Times Sq/Grand Central Station shuttle in New York
Because its so well served, I dont see major tenants with hundreds or thousands of employees leaving the Loop any time soon. I feel that the West Loop/Fulton Market will remain more of a niche office market, with smaller tenants and fewer employees. It won't realistically be able to sustain more than that. It will compliment the Loop, rather than rival it.

The Clinton Street subway would be a huge help with transit connections. The best aspect of it is that it would create a huge underground Loop for the Blue Line, allowing the Forest Park and O'Hare branches to split into 2 separate lines (which would loop around the Congess/Dearborn/Lake/Clinton 'superloop', much like the Orange, Brown, Purple and Pink lines currently do on the elevated Loop). This will allow the CTA to balance out the two lines. Currently, the O'Hare branch has packed trains while the Forest Park branch runs a bunch of empty trains. The CTA can then focus more train service for the Northwest Side and the airport, as opposed to the underused west side line, which has duplicate service with the Green line half a mile to the north.

Another office high-rise is proposed for Fulton Market. Also, the 9 story movie theater Sterling Bay was planning is apparently 132 ft, so I thought to include it here.

328 N. Sangamon: 165 ft; 211,291 sqft of office; retail; 53 parking

339-355 N Morgan St: 132 ft; Movie theater; 275 parking

Not to rain on your parade too much but the Sears tower was not built for residential purposes. Waaaayyy too much sway in those top floors than is comfortable to live and sleep in.

With 275 parking spots, that movie theatre is really more of a giant garage than anything else. I'm hoping it has public spots

Yeah, the first 6 floors are dedicated to parking. At least there will be retail on the ground floor.

Also, it just occurred to me that the reason why we're seeing another wave of Fulton Market developments is because the PMD east of Ogden was repealed, so the downtown boundaries now extend up to Hubbard St for the neighborhood.

Good to note that one of those proposals is on the site of that AmeriGas site that I had written about a bit ago asking if anyone heard of rumors of redevleopment like I had. Good to see the possibility of something like that going away. Will be positive for the Ace Hotel right there too.

Forgot to mention this before, but I saw soil testing at the SW corner of Harrison and Wells about a week ago. (The section of the Riverline North lot not owned by CMK.)

New construction permit (foundation thru 2nd floor) issued for 180 N Ada Street (Lake & Ada) - 14 stories, 263 units and 148 parking spaces in a garage. Also there should be ground floor retail/commercial space. Looks like parking has gone up a lot since last check - and the floor count went up by 1

Currently a surface lot:

^ Always good. I think the next step in our little TOD revolution is to start implementing parking maximums in TOD eligible developments. The lower minimums are nice, but it appears that some developers are still creating too much parking
