They might be setting a record for slowest erection of a tower crane. That thing has been getting assembled for weeks.

those renders show the glass balconies as if they’ve been made larger, also the balcony above the restaurant. nice! Sure is a lot more glass than the original proposals

I just walked past this and it seems like they are finally picking up the pace. The upright steel frame pieces and the internal concrete core now appear to stretch to the 8th floor.

It's great to finally start seeing it take shape. It's definitely interesting to see how this is going up. Hopefully, like happened on Broadway, now that they have the cranes up and running, this move quite quickly.

Just thought I'd post this quote from Post #1 of this thread back in May 2020:

It *could* be accurate, in that they stop construction with it partially done. Lol.

Jokes aside, I've no idea how they are 'hiring' and for what roles as posted at the site. Who is looking for a future job in 2024?

I drive by the site just to see progress as I did with River Landing. But you need to look REALLY close to see progress whereas River Landing it was nice to see a new floor up every couple of weeks (IIRC?)

Looks like they are waiting for winter before going full tilt.

It also looks like a normal build now. My interest isn't what it was.

Steel & precast is still an interesting build in these parts. As I’ve said before, this project may be slow (and very confusing at times), but it’s not boring.

^That's better in Ont.... here, 1floor x 6 weeks doesn't seem worth the construction method or materials. they must really be having trouble hiring- the sign's still there.... can they hire foreign workers, like the all Canadian Timmy Hortons? or maybe they're working like ants on the second half getting it to grade? We should know by spring!

thanks for the update CDYXE! someone posted their travel shots of dt saskabush a while ago, commenting on all the trees. they had to keep them for this development, too- it looks nice, a little forested from your last shot, even as the leaves are falling...

haha! miss your pics, roryn1! and I think their updated colors even with the beige are better than the originals from 3-4 yrs ago, with the darkish broadway a reality

Thanks for d update! Well, we're already looking at over a quarter of its height; still good for Saskatoon density. I'd love to peek into the south hole. Somethings gotta be happening down there! two cranes here, one for Meridian after new years (hoping!) a couple blocks down for 19 storys; one for the 8-story office at the top of Broadway I feel is coming.

That could be 4 cranes at once, any others? Saskaboomtown! But just wait till Sask Polytechnic, the Library and the Arena could be being built at the same time, along with the BRT bus system. Wow! Not to mention the national urban park designation and improvements.

Back to Baydo. looking forward to this skyline alteration and more patrons in the core

It's unbelievable how little progress has been made. The floor heights are appear low for 1965.
