The Waterfalls mixed used development has been approved in Henderson. The project is a mix of residential, restaurants, and office. It will top out at 260 feet. The design isn't great but this will have a massive positive impact on the area. Water Street is the center of Henderson and could be considered its old school "main street". I believe this will be the cities tallest if built as approved. The current tallest, Sunset Station, is I believe 216 feet.

Here is the overview on the project.

In addition he is the link to the meeting in which it was approved. It is item 23. Several additional documents are included. Clicking on Public Hearing next to item 23 will forward the video to where this project is discussed and approved.

Update: I was able to find a rendering of the proposed development in the article linked above, and it does in fact show the Walgreens remaining as-is:

^ The former Hawaiian Marketplace and Cable Center Shops have been fully demolished to make way for the new BLVD shopping center:

The former Travelodge has also been demolished for the rumored Tilman Fertitta resort.

Just up the street, the FAA has granted permission for a new 699 ft. tower to be built on the site of the current Casino Royale/Best Western. No redevelopment plans have been officially announced, but given the prime location, I'd expect the current casino and hotel to be demolished and replaced with an entirely new concept. Vital Vegas claims that Ritz-Carlton was once the hotel partner for this project, but has since pulled out.

Was up in Vegas over the weekend and noticed a quite a few cranes...specifically a few up in the DT LV area that looked like they were around the 275' range (including a luffing crane).

Does any Las Vegas peeps have renderings or know what's getting built? Could someone post some updates on what you have going on up there?

The crane over by Smith Center is for these high-rise apts, accompanied by a mid-rise next door:

The crane on Main, next to City Hall is for the new Downtown Civic Center:

Then a block north of Symphony II/III will be another high-rise, Cello Tower in the Origin. So another crane on the way.

This is an updated design from the prior February rendering.

I *really* like this building. I don't know of the nod to the International style was intentional, but the formwork also adds just the right neoish-modern touch. The low-rise portion is not as well executed, but whatever.

An old announcement for the M expansion. Plans were to break ground this fall, but still no movement.

Midtown, a mixed-use development, proposed around the English Hotel in the Arts District. Hopefully gets off the ground.

Looks like they wants a light rail in Las Vegas. It will be interesting to see what happens. I’ll believe it when I see it!
