At least 800 employees of the combined company, nearly three times the number TCF had planned, will be housed in a new landmark office tower that will open in the future in downtown Detroit.
I'm wondering if perhaps this means a design revamp and perhaps an added floor or two. I don't know how that works in Detroit but in Chicago it's not uncommon for a building to add a floor or two midway through development.

There’s been no formal announcement on the name change but I’d imagine it’d be “Huntington Center”. Different news outlets are pointing out that Toledo’s hockey arena already has that name though, so Huntington may get creative and go with “Huntington Bank Center” instead.

It's good to see Detroit having multiple threads on this "highrise construction" forum. And 311' is not bad at all for Detroit, since it's almost as tall as the 348' Greektown Casino Hotel, the tallest building completed so far in the 21st century.

No photos since October... I found this on Emporis from just a few days ago - it's really rising now. Can someone get some pictures and post, now that the weather isn't absolute crap?

Oops, haha - small world! Well, thank you anyway for that photo. It's making quick progress now.

Posted today. By that floor count, it might be from a while ago (hard to count the floors from this angle, looks like less than 9 though) -

Huntington Tower Construction - March 14, 2020

Here are a couple of images from today, March 14. It appears to be the same height as the March 3rd image although some progress has been made on the piers for the next story.

I just came across an updated rendering of the building in Huntington signage. I also went by earlier and they've started to install glass on the second floor.

I know it's a far simpler site & floor plan, but this is just moving so incredibly fast, when compared to the Hudson's site.

While the Hudson Site is obviously moving along, I feel like for a lot of the past 2 years or so it’s had a very small crew for such a big site. If they were in a rush to finish it I’m sure the could have more people working on it. Regardless it’s going to be awesome seeing all of these high rise projects finish over the next few years.

It also looks like the rear facade is up to the 5th floor
