Lincoln Journal Star
10/25/18

Quote:
A Lincoln developer plans to build a 20-story building, with retail, office space and condominiums, on the north side of the Que Place parking garage at 12th and Q streets.

The $30 million Lied Place Residences redevelopment project would include a 3,000-square-foot restaurant on the ground floor, about 4,500 square feet of office space on the second, third and fourth floors and about 40 condominiums on the upper 16 floors.

The building, at 240 feet, would be the second-tallest building in the city. The tallest is the Capitol, which measures over 400 feet to the top of the Sower.

Lied Place heads toward spring construction

Quote:
The redevelopment agreement for the 20-story Lied Place, a skinny skyscraper that will fit between Q Street and the city's Que Place parking garage, is expected to get City Council approval Monday.

Lied Place Residences will have 40 condos on the top 16 floors, with a restaurant and lobby on the street level and three floors of office space. It will be the second-tallest building in downtown Lincoln, next to the Capitol.

Construction is expected to begin this spring with anticipated completion in the summer of 2020, according to Tom Huston, a Lincoln attorney working with developers.

Q Street lane closed for Lied Place Residences construction

* June 1st, 2019

Quote:
Two lanes on the south side of Q Street, between 11th and 12th streets, are closed for the construction of the Lied Place Residences.

During construction, three lanes will remain open, with continued left-turn access also still available. The south sidewalk will also be closed.

The current southernmost lane will be modified to allow for a wider sidewalk in front of the building, which may include a restaurant and loading area.

This phase of construction is expected to continue through summer 2020.

This one is now well underway and should be moved to highrise construction.

The Lincoln Journalstar gives a time frame for an August 2020 topping out and a 2021 occupancy.

Nice. That's a decent looking building.

I also found the marketing website, and they have the building elevations of the north elevation. It shows it with 20 floors, two penthouse residential levels above that. It lists the highest height on the building as 253 feet 6 inches.

Also, this thing is going to be really skinny. They're building it between the Que City Parking Garage and Q Street. It looks like it'll only be about 40 feet wide by comparing it to the cars on the street.

Has this been completed? I know it was supposed to open in 2021, but I can't find anything about a grand opening.

It's a bit delayed I believe (so not completed/open yet), but it's topped out: https://liedplace.com/august-construction-update/ (also note height is 257', not 253')

This thing is crazy skinny! It turned out really well though. Good for Lincoln!
