^ Easy there...not one insulting comment posted above.



Houston has a very tiny Japanese population/ expat community so that might explain the lack of Japanese there and it really doesn't give you an accurate depiction of Japanese culture. Just bits and pieces familiar to the west. Anyway...I went to this festival back in 2010. Had sushi for the first time there.

sugoi desu yo! looks a bit like the nyc sakura matsuri this past weekend. unfortunately the cherry blossoms are not peak here yet due to the cool weather up until now -- its hard to time the fest with the peak bloom. anyway nice to see houston doing this as well i love it!
