Didn't Brandywine themselves state that the tower would start late next year in their callings. Also the Schuylkill Yards site says expected delivery by 2025, and that date could be feasible with starting next year (but I do expect the completion date to move to 2026). If the tower is a steel structure like I presume based off of the CDR documents, I'm sure the red tower will fly into the skyline just as fast as 3025 JFK

When? Maybe I missed it, but I mean, we literally post every bit of information and even the earnings calls lol.. I don't remember "delays"? Also the red building isn't next, but the shorter one.

3151 Market is getting underway.
So I tend to think Brandywine working on 3 huge buildings all at once would be risky to them?... Just thinking out loud.

I've been aware that the red tower isn't the next one. They already started 3151, and structural work will happen early next year. I'd say by the end of 2023, 3025 JFK will be complete and 3151 Market could be topped out. It could be a perfect time to start the red tower, as 3025 is about to top out and 3151 will soon be above ground (it's still a massive open foundation right now)

Yeah maybe delay isn't the right word, but throughout the years they've given estimates of start/completion dates which have come and gone. The initial estimated delivery date for both towers was 2022.

Maybe I missed this last bit of earnings call info, but until I hear they've secured the tenants, I take planned dates with a large grain of salt. (Which is why I was asking for a source)

^ thats what id say too, although I'm still thinking they could make an attempt to pivot the towers main purpose, maybe instead of all office, hotel, life science, office combo could work? We need hotels to start coming up before the world cup in 2026

OT to the thread, but the clock is ticking for hotel projects by this date.

Bummer if no other popular brands open by then.

Virgin Hotel. 8th and Market. Goldenberg and Virgin need to make it happen now that their plans for Broad and Lombard are dead.

Or Universal Studios: Philadelphia - the world's first skyscraper AR amusement park located at 8th and Market.

This building is pretty prominent for its size given where it sits. Feels taller than it is.

Love the cladding on this building. So much more textured and interesting, as opposed to a predictable glass box.

Completely agree. From the renders I did not think it would make a huge difference in the skyline where it is but it really stands out well. Can't wait to see how this and 3001 will look together when completed.

YES! for a relatively short high rise, it looks huge in that location.
