Shoring began in Oct. 2017, so it's been only 3 1/2 years so far...

I realize there was a stoppage but 42 months is still ridiculous. You're just used to the glacial pace of things in Ontario.

It might be "only" 3 1/2 years since construction started but it's been 6 years since this project was announced. Regardless, using your math still results in this project taking over a century to complete. Canada's answer to the WTC

Interesting that they removed the center crane, it must have been there only for placing the massive beams and steelwork in the first few floors of the base.

That corner is going to be very impressive once this is finished.

Let's see now, first supertall in Canada, tallest building in the city, I'd say it's a bit more unique than just going straight up...

He means the street corner, with all those tall towers right across from each other.

Not the corner of the building itself

In a smaller font, they need to add "Very, very slowly" underneath the "An Icon is rising" on the sign.

for a while they had permit issues, but since then it's been slowly but surely moving forward. Still no speed records being broken here.

They have 1 more podium level to complete and it should speed up from there at least.
