It's funny but a little too close to reality at the same time.

The only good is building over a parking lot.

I disagree. Hospital complex bring a sense of stability and permanence to an area, are less subject to economic ups and downs, and bring many people to the area. Unfortunately, you are right on aestheics, hospital complexes are rarely anything other than functional buildings.

I don't think this looks VE'd at all edit: does appear the hotel is shorter now, however.

I prefer the log windows rather than the occasional window in the office

Centennial Olympic Park (and Fairlie Poplar in general) deserves more nice built-out blocks bordering it than it currently has. Is Margaritaville the answer to that? Uh, I wouldn't have thought so but maybe. I REALLY hope theres no EIFS on the project.

Some notable projects on the list...
  • 567 Ponce de Leon Avenue - The project is a mixed-use development with 3,000 SF of retail and office on the ground level, and 72 residential condominium on a 0.61-acre site. There will be parking structure that accommodates 50 single and 46 tandem parking spaces.
  • Studioplex Hotel (667 Auburn Avenue) - The project is a part of the StudioPlex development and includes a seven-story boutique hotel with 200 guestroom keys, a ballroom, restaurants with a bar, a rooftop pool, support spaces and meeting rooms with 600 parking spaces planned on a 1.38-acre site.

Since they are going before the DRC, I assume the original concept is dead.

  • Ten Park East (690 Angier Avenue) - The project consists of 11 new condominium units plus a roof terrace, that will include one affordable unit and 20 parking spaces on a 0.158 acre site.

TenParkEast Starting at $2.1 M

What relative of a public servant official gets that one "affordable" unit?

Kemp will probably choose one of his nasty nieces or nephews to restore the family name high above this newly gentrified neighborhood.
Any who... It will definitely be a Republican stooge to get this privilege.

That project doesn’t even make financial sense. A 10-13 story building at 2.1 million per unit. Don’t see how these will sell or make economic sense for the developer.

The Georgia Tech parking lot on Ferst drive at Regents Drive is fenced off. This is for the Campus Center project, specifically the exhibition hall.

"The exhibition hall will serve as the center of meeting and conference functions on campus. The building is designed to enhance and uplift the conference and large-event experience at Georgia Tech with its:
•12,000 ft2 ballroom, divisible into five smaller spaces
•11 meeting spaces with full conference and teleconference A/V capabilities
•Expanded pre-function space
•Convenience of housing Catering Services in the same building

The exhibition hall will be part of Phase I of construction, which is expected to last from May 2019 until Summer 2020."

Wow!

I'm wondering what will O4W be like in a few years? It feels like within a decade it went from a very challenged neighborhood to one of the most sought after neighborhoods in the city.
