And another update.

The nearly 5-acre Marietta Boulevard mixed-use project announced last year by Cannon Equities and AB Capital could break ground early next year.

Could Marietta Blvd be catching fire the next few years? Westside Park to the South, Westside Provisions to the East.
I was just walking by the cemetery last week with my wife and we were both wondering aloud when that area would be developed. Seems like a great gateway into Bolton and some amazing views of the skyline there.

Area is perfect for some density and has capacity for new trails, increased bus frequency, and even HCT. Density will continue in the area for sure.

Here's a bird's eye view of The Spur, our 970-foot linear park. This is where you can catch live music, relax with a drink, find a quiet corner to work on your laptop or just take a stroll.

Good, now Atlanta needs PATH to buy a handful of the rail spurs in the area and build out a trail system to make it easier to walk around the area. Tons of ROW no longer in use.

Doug Nagy (ATL DOT) was in the area assessing the neighborhood earlier today. I’m sure he’d appreciate feedback.

Nice! I'm sure that he's qualified enough, with the position he holds, to see with his two eyes how bad it is.

Yea it seems like the city's new strategy with dealing with broken roads is just to barrier them off. I can think of three spots on the west-side where a section of road is just coned off.

It’s in the distance, but you San see the crazy progress going in off Howell Mill from 1105 WP’s panorama camera. Pan to the left then zoom in.

Amazing...I don't get over to that part of town often, but the transformation in progress is nothing short of astonishing.

Did they tear down that shelter behind Chick-fil-A? It looks like they did from the image but don't want to assume as it's kind of blurry and in the distance.

Broadstone Upper Westside

https://www.bizjournals.com/atlanta/..._news_headline

Quote:
A new 314-unit apartment project could be underway by the end of the year on Atlanta’s rapidly growing Upper Westside.

Developer Alliance Residential just bought 12.5 acres at Marietta Boulevard and Bolton Drive. It paid $8.1 million, according to Fulton County property deeds. The seller was Ashwood Properties LLC.

Construction of Alliance’s Broadstone Upper Westside is expected to begin this year, the developer said. It is unclear whether the project has obtained construction financing. Alliance is working with architect Dynamik Design.

Yes, they did; however, it is to build a new building for the shelter. You can find the details at the link to the building permit here
