I guess it kind of snuck up, because that intersection wasn't so bad before all the new development. It desperately needs a light now. Hopefully the temporary one is a sign that the city will add a real before Peachtree Place opens again. Otherwise, I don't even want to think about what it will be like after The Mark is open.

StreetLights Residential Trying Again With Midtown DRC For Saint Marks Development

Quote:
StreetLights Residential is returning to the Midtown Development Review Committee Aug. 13 to seek its blessing for a 26-story mixed-use apartment tower at the corner of Juniper and Fifth streets. In June, the board told StreetLights to go back to the drawing board on its exterior design and work on a revamp along with the Atlanta City Studio, an arm of the city's planning department tasked with focusing on the design of private projects in the city. The division was established in 2016.

that first effort was almost insulting imo, i think st marks and the city should demand a well-materialed. best in class tower. it's an awesome spot on the Ptree ridge. and ugh on the car thing

I know several people, including myself, blew up their email with our disgust. Hopefully they'll do better. If you look at their portfolio of previous towers, they typically build really nice looking stuff.

Nice add! The Mark seems to be one of the better sides of space in Atlanta right now. I’m a bit envious it’ll be student housing, as it seems to be a great addition at a nice location.

That's certainly one way to present a project strictly tied to massing/zoning without being beholden to a design.
