Wink FORT LAUDERDALE | City Walk | FT | FLOORS (4 TOWERS)

I posted this a bit before but this warrants a thread now that I know the developers closed on the site not too long ago (June 15th 2023) for about 62 million.

The sale was reaching agreements in January of last year but I never figured if the sale finalized until now. The address is 201 W Broward.

Here are the preliminary renderings on FSMY'S Website.

The project looks to have about four 50 story towers with two floors of retail and 3,400,000 SF . The project is bananas and extremely dense... dare I say the densest in America?

Holy Moley! If there is anywhere in Broward County to have to have extreme density, it should be adjacent to the Brightline train station like here. It will be exciting to see the coming skyscraper canyon along Broward Blvd.

Hopefully the NIMBYs don't go too nuts. Broward County needs all the housing possible to help bring down the current ridiculous prices. Rent in Fort Lauderdale is currently averaging $2,661 for a 1 bedroom ( https://www.rentcafe.com/average-ren...rt-lauderdale/ )

Seeing as this proposal is right next to the Brightline station, this needs to have high priority to get built ASAP!!!

The Juvenile Justice Dept. building needs to be demolished first:
