The parking lots around the park are prime locations for some residential buildings, especially directly north. What a great location that would be for an apartment building.

Yeah, I think this is a real critical move for the city as it has expanded its limits of downtown. I think it is also a convenient location to the more residential neighborhoods to the north while still being close enough to the existing businesses. It is also right by a light rail stop so it is easily accessible.
When Central Park in New York was built there wasn't really anything north of it. This park will not be Central Park, but I hope it can have the same meaning to Phoenix. Only time will tell though.
