Looks like amenities floor is being finished. Is that an indoor swimming pool? They are deconstructing steel cage that is used to make the central concrete elevator shaft. Anyone know why??

And there's still three large surface lots fronting that plaza: East of Tribune, North of NBC, and South of NBC on the River. I'm sure at least one of those sites will someday accommodate a supertall, probably the one fronting the river. Streeterville is quickly running out of vacant lots driving up the value of the remaining parcels.

It certainly will be interesting to see how development unfolds around NBC. Like we're all gonna spazz when it happens. 2000 ft would be ideal.

Not to mention 560 N Fairbanks. That one was supposed to be quite tall (>700-800' I think with spire) and then nothing happened at all.

I thought I had read a few years ago that Northwestern Hospital had bought that lot. I remember a rendering of a proposal there a long time ago that looked decent but lost hope after reading about NW buying it.

There are both indoor and outdoor pools, along with a bunch of other amenities on level 7 and 8. The area in the pic is the indoor pool. Also, the east and west cells of the core drop off above level 8.

Thanks for the pic!!

^^^ Wow, looks like it would almost be possible to hop from one roof deck to the other by merely climbing over a rail. Too bad it would never be possible to get all three buildings on the same page to the point where a gate could be added allowing residents of the towers to intermingle and share amenities. I guess it will be more like the neighborhooda where you can see your neighbors yard, but not pass through it.

Thanks for the photos, Harry. Any sign of glass yet? Hopefully red, to make our own little downtown Pacific Design Center?

On Illinois they have a banner with the rendering, which shows the red glass bottom.

^I don't think the base along Grand Ave. was ever to have the green glass. That's for the tower itself, not the base. This is the retail/restaurant space.
