An Ottawa forumer created a future skyline with two of the most impactful projects in the traditional downtown.There are a dosen+ other proposals and u/c buildings not shown in this model, as this was just to highlight these two projects that will have the greatest prominence in the old downtown area. Both will be residential.
The first project, the grey massing, is Claridge Moon, two 27 floor towers and an eight storey mid-rise on a retail podium. These are u/c.
The other, which is proposed by Main+Main with no official name, is a three tower complex in blue, 23, 29 and 35 on a retail podium. The 35 storey tower will be the tallest in the traditional downtown since 1971.
Both replace under utilized land in the CBD area. Moon replaces a parking lot and former Coca-Cola bottling plant. The podium will house an existing Lyon Station entrance. M+M replaces a parking lot and a low-rise office building built in the 60s and 70s.
