What a great skyline!

Interestingly enough, it most often looks better, or at least more conventional from these suburbs than from Central Paris.
Although of course, it depends on angles, on the spot which pictures are taken from.

I think there's been what we call an "effet de seuil", literally a threshold effect caused by safety regulations enforced on any building whose upper floors would be over 200m (656 feet) above the ground.
It seems it would make it too difficult for developers to commercialize any tower that would surpass the so called threshold.
It is somewhat noticeable in the skyline of this district these days...

Some annoying threshold effects can be observed in different aspects of the French economy.
E.g., it is a challenge for a small business to grow larger than 49 employees here.
Typical of an overly and awkwardly regulated society.

The drone footage is cool; the building itself is rather disappointing.

Especially when the tenant or owner of the tower, Saint-Gobain is a corporation specialized in building materials. Not exactly a proper way to market their products IMO.
They didn't even design these. It probably would've been better otherwise, but also possibly more expensive.

If anybody knows what they tried to do to that side of the parallelepiped up there at 0:40, please explain to us 'cause I have no idea. It looks like a blank wall behind the glass; I just don't get it.

The fishnet on the façade doesn't look great either. It looks like they stuck some crazy amount of white tape to the building.
It even seems that they occasionally forgot some bits of it. See 3:30.
Unless that would be on purpose. Who knows?

I'm thinking, of course there's all the necessary stuff for elevators at the top. Still, they could have invented something better than this blank wall.
Their parallelepipedic thing is bold, but in the end the inside is a mess. Lol.

The architecture firm responsible for this building is Valode & Pistre. Every time they design a high-rise over here, it's messy.

This may be seen as complete by now, no longer under construction.
I'm adding a few pics to let people on here know.
