Unfortunately, there have been none in Jersey City, but 2015 was a great year for skyscraper proposals. There were 3 skyscrapers proposed that year that were planned to be 95 floors each.

Originally proposed in 2015 as a 95-floor, 950ft building, the final design resulted in a density allowance rising only up to 76-storys.

Originally identified as a 95-floor office building in planning documents (

3). The final proposal approved by the city was for two residential towers of 58 and 42 floors.
Liberty Rising Hotel and Casino

Proposed by Paul Fireman, this would have been a massive 95 floor hotel at 100 Craven Point, Jersey City. According to the
Wall Street Journal, it would have included 1,500 room hotel, restaurants, theater and a North-Jersey Casino. The state ballot measure to open up casinos outside of Atlantic City did not pass and the proposal was abandoned. The idea was that it would harm gaming revenue in Atlantic City. As revenge, I hope the Manhattan-based casino mops up and New Jersey misses out on the opportunity to collect all of those tax dollars.
