reverwalk - last month

For the "spanish stairs" the mix was so viscous that the normal pump trucks couldn't be used

^what do you mean by "the mix was so vicious?" Do you mean it's really heavy with aggregate?

Art Deco Riverfront Highrise to Get the Sterling Bay Treatment [Curbed]

For their next magic trick, Sterling Bay bought a big chunk of the LaSalle-Wacker building last year to upgrade it into slick offices.

More pics in the article.

It would be great if SB could work their mojo to make that part of the loop a cool place to work. Share some of that River North/West Loop/Fulton Market heat with the CBD!

- viscous - not only heavy with aggregate but thicker.

It mounded up so much that this nearly flat conveyor was used.

Does anybody here know exactly where this 3 building condo project will be? I'm trying to pinpoint what lots/buildings this development will replace but I can't tell?

British School South Loop's rooftop park is starting to go in. There's blue geofoam all over, and a little bit of dirt.

Definitely on the east side of the street, at Wolfram. But it's hard to see whether it's in the surface lot south of the Reproductive Genetics building (2825) or in its place, which would suck. For reference, the KFC sign appears on the lower right side of the rendering.

PS: thrilled about Sterling Bay's latest plans for the LaSalle Wacker.

Proposed development at the corner of Lincoln and Roscoe... a bit surprised they didn't go for housing above since they're in the TOD zone, but still a major upgrade from the 1 story crap that's there now (and mostly all vacant). Essentially 1/2 block of new retail. With this and the proposed TOD project across the street on the CTA lot, the Paulina Brown Line area should really pop.

What's surprising here is that they're building nothing but retail on Lincoln, when most of the recent residential projects on Lincoln have been unsuccessful in filling their required retail.

The universe is doing its best to make me regret not buying a three flat in Pilsen 4 years ago.

That being said, I really hope this happens, all 500 units. Pilsen is a amazing neighborhood that could easily be the next hot location in Chicago.

Nice shots, harry. Were you able to check out the new "Music and Communication Building" at NW? It's supposed be done.

It definitely is. I was inside there 2 months ago, and at that point everything was ready save a few touch ups and some of the surrounding landscape. Sorry, no pictures though.
