They have the parking. It will be a success.

^ No doubt that the parking lots were a big part of that restaurant's success. But will the new concept have the very broad appeal of Earls? I don't think there are many places that cut across demographic lines the way that Earls does.

Dan's Cafe and Lounge now open in the former Second Cup location at Edmonton and Graham. It's a nice, low-pretense addition to the coffee options in the area. Had some hot drinks and cookie, and we quite enjoyed them.

Lolly’s Restaurant, formally located in the UofM Inovation Hub is moving to 303 Main St with an anticipated February 2033 opening.

In a short Period of time the cluster of restaurants continues to expand around Portage and Main.

Grain Commish building? maybe their own cafeteria or will it actually open to public?

Canadian Grain Commission Tower. Interesting choice for a location.
Yes, P & M will have more options than the last decade.
Pretty soon P & M barriers will need to come down.

Little Goat closed because Chef Alex said the building needed too may repairs...plus he wanted to focus on helping out at his son's little new restaurant in OV (can't recall the name). Living a half a block from the place, I can confirm that it's true the place needed a lot if work. The work included installing new outside styrofoam insulation and new siding.
Looks like Dreamland is getting close to opening. It looks like a fantastic idea.

Krispy Kreme... what is this, 2001?

EDIT: I also see a Dollarama going up by the Co-op... so does that mean the one by IKEA is moving? Or will there be one on each side of Sterling Lyon?

I never had a chance to try it. I probably should try before it gets closed down again.

There are over a dozen Krispy Kreme locations in Canada. Ironically, the one on McCaul in Toronto is immediately behind UHN (The University Health Network) a gigantic multi-hospital complex:

There are currently 57 Arby's locations in Canada:
