they are now putting up scaffolding and a protective plywood barrier to the west of the daffy's store. It seems like they are going to make some changes to the facade of the adjacent storefront. I still don't know what is being created in the next building to the west which has been covered with scaffolding for many months now. It seems like it will be a restaurant due to the liquor license hanging in the door. They are putting insulation panels on the Aquinas apt project.

In other general development news:

Philly's top office landlord plans Camden 'Gateway'

Philadelphia's dominant high-rise office landlord has been tapped by Campbell Soup Co. to develop an office park and other possible projects on 13 acres south of Admiral Wilson Boulevard (NJ 38) in depressed Camden, N.J. Brandywine Realty Trust will cooperate with the Camden Redevelopment Authority in planning the "Gateway District," Campbell said in a statement this morning.

Brandywine, which operates six of Philadelphia's 10 largest office buildings and has also been the dominant office developer in University City and Radnor, where it's based, "has consistently demonstrated a clear focus on high-quality, well-designed urban development,” said Richard Landers, Campbell’s Vice President of Tax and Real Estate, in this statement. Landers said the Gateway project should "create jobs and spur economic growth.”
Yes please.

I'm enjoying Dilworth a lot, I was incorrect bitching about the small-ish lawn. They got Dilworth right in my book.

The two new additions, Dilworth Plaza and Sister Cities Park are awesome!

Next step: Love Park. Hoping they redevelop the plaza next to the Municipal Building right across from City Hall too!

Haha! Just a lax job and a lax girlfriend lol. I'm actually off today because I am working this Saturday. However, even at work I always have this window opened on my computer lol. So I'll pop in when I have down time and check out some other Real Estate websites/blogs, etc.

Part of my job requires me to be on top of the Philly Market, so TECHNICALLY this is part of my job, lol.

At least, that's how I justify it.

...I also have borderline OCD.

Construction has been ongoing for months now at this site with the building and bell tower being removed first and then excavation and installation of retaining walls.
