Floor 56 is done which is floor 57. So with no 13th the top will be 66. So nine more floors to go. This is not the core but what is completed as a whole. So if that is true then we are at around 700 feet for the structure completed at floor 57. So nine floors plus the crown. So each floor is 12 feet that would put the roof at 808 feet plus a 66 foot crown not 100 still puts it a 875.

The approved elevations were never made public. But a foot should be added to each residential floor to make the elevations we have more accurate.

I get ~672’ to the setback. Are you adding 1’ to each residential floor?

This is where I'm most confused about. Do we have diagrams that show the extra foot added to each residential floor or is this from hearsay? Are we sure they are adding an extra foot?

Here's a summary of the past height discussions:

1. The approved & released elevations show: 848'

2. A later FAA filing for increasing the building height shows: 883'

3. A source who saw the elevations said there was an increase in the residential floor height, but the height ended up being 876' not 883'. This would be hearsay despite a trusted source.

4. The developer has been publicly quoted as saying the highest point (SW corner) is 875'

But hey, if it’s only 848 feet then we won’t have to go through the trouble of getting the diagram updated!

It would be great if someone would send us or post the final elevations. Personally, I would go with 876'. But since that's technically hearsay, I believe the developer's quote of 875' that specifically mentioned the SW corner is best source that we can use for the final height.

Once finished, someone should be able to fly a drone up to the top and get a proper elevation.

This shot reminds me of Independence Day with the Alien spaceship hovering over LA.

We can finally put the height question to rest. Someone was kind enough to send me the approved & released elevations, and the final height is yet another number: 874'.

Lowest point (Restaurant at SW corner): 484' 2"

Highest point (Roof parapet): 1,358'

Full elevation: 1,358' - 484' 2'' = 874' (Rounded)

A few more random, distant shots from around town yesterday.

Great update Mopacs! You can tell just how massive this tower gonna be. It's really starting to stand out especially from the north.

Thanks! I've already spotted it in places where downtown was not visible before (popping above hilltops on the west side, for instance). Once it tops out I plan to travel around the periphery of the city to find new vantage points.
