Hard to say. The latest architect is supposed to be RG Architecture but there are no renderings of it on their site.

I can already imagine standing in the middle of that courtyard, looking up, and seeing four massive towers. If the Caltrain tracks are eventually built over with several even taller buildings, this really could be a new dense city core for the 2020s & 30s.

No standalone thread here on the Avery?: https://sf.curbed.com/2018/7/2/17528...luxury-housing http://theaverysf.com/residences Pegged to be 618 ft tall and looks very nice. Seems like there should be one.

Love the updates. I desperately wish this project would move way faster.

my understanding has been that that parcel is sort of in limbo, since the downtown rail extension is to curve to the NE off Second underneath that corner, precluding or complicating building there. in addition to at least a couple across Howard, I think we stand to lose one or two of the buildings to its south as well (which I will be sad about). this is a vague recollection from reading through a document years ago - if anyone has more concrete info, please share?

agree that something about this one looks awkward to me, and maybe thinning the top would help. I feel like I want to like it, but don't.

Have you got $41 million?

Quote:
A full-floor Transbay penthouse that's 600 feet above San Francisco is hitting the market — and it's sky-high in both ambition and price. The 8,482-square foot residence, from developer Related California, could set a new record for the most expensive home sold in the city. It's priced at $41 million . . . .

. . . the penthouse includes four bedrooms, six spa-inspired bathrooms, a library, gym, formal living and dining rooms and more. There's also a rare 1,580-square foot private rooftop deck that could be customized with a fire pit, garden and yoga deck. Other amenities, such as a bar and secondary kitchen, sauna, walk-in pantry and large cooking island, complete the interior.

The sculpted glass tower, known as The Avery, sits just blocks from the currently shuttered Salesforce Transit Center in the downtown Transbay district sprouting with new skyscrapers.

Yeah, it would be but on further search, I think one of the modifications in the latest design is to replace the covered but open entrance court with flat storefronts.

A bit shy of that...yes, this photo was in my links. This penthouse is definitely stunning. Shouldn't this have a standalone thread? It's a significant project.

Every slot is now unavailable unfortunately.

^^I knew the Avery was going to be the tallest of the Folsom group but not by that much. Makes me think our illustrious planners should have let 500 Folsom go higher.
