Yes, the PHX area is short multi-family - but not all of it is needed downtown.
It probably doesn't make financial sense to switch to concrete for only 13 floors.

They're just still doing ground work. It's going slow for the time being.

I was downtown over the weekend and could have sworn that Saiya was up to the third floor. Can someone verify this?

Nope. It hasn't even progressed to the 1st floor yet. Still working on ground level stuff.

I'm thinking what you saw was Union Roosevelt Phase 2 which is between Saiya and Union Roosevelt. It will be will be 6 floors.

So is this one officially under construction but still at ground level, or is it just on-going demolition work?

Under construction. From what I can tell, underground utility work and I believe a few slabs of concrete. I will be by tomorrow and try and get an update pic.

I drove by yesterday and the rebar has already started going vertical. I wasn't able to grab a pic, but rebar is defiantly sticking up over the construction fence.

Huge crane went up today. Looks temporary. Not sure if it will be used to build the permanent crane?

I think the Camelback Visibility Cam is losing a battle at this point.
ADEQ should probably rename it or consider moving it to the a taller building in DT.

Saiya today

Is something going in at Fillmore/Central NE corner? Half of the surface parking lot has what appears to be the start of construction activity but I'm not sure what it is.
