Did you go shopping at Chinook centre?
I only ask because that's one of the only reasons people go on Macleod trail, unless they live in SW Calgary.

Haha, no. There are some shops in the industrial area to the east that we like to visit.

I remember when Village Ice cream first opened. I think maybe 2011?
It was delicious but in this awkward location at the dead end of 10th Ave SE.

On the side of the white building towards the back.
Now they have 5 locations

Lovely. I was there for the first time in July (took the kids to that little rodeo thingy and out to Banff) and it’s definitely a city that punches above its weight.

The little rodeo thingy, Calgary Stampede, received 125,000 visitors/day or 1.384M total people attended. This year's event was the 2nd most attended in the 100+ year history after the all time attendance record in 2012. The expected economic impact for Calgary is approximately $300M.
