The key word here is "building". The people actually going out and doing the building are certainly not insecure.

I forgot about the 1111...

Apparently not the Gibson Residences anymore.

That means the new Church Street towers are the 505, 801, 900, 1001 and the 1111. Ugh.

It makes me wonder what is said user so "insecure" about that said user feels compelled to stand in judgement of others admiration of tall buildings? Admiration also doesn't mean obsession.

I've been meaning to present this project for a few weeks and have just now managed to get around to it. The timing has nothing to do with the current tangential discussions underway.

Nevertheless, this is a beautiful project in what is becoming a 'Brooklynn-ish' neighborhood south of downtown.

It will incorporate the existing firehall as an events space for the hotel. The other beautiful old building is not part of the project.

Thanks for the update... I love that project and love that they're preserving one of my favorite historic buildings in the city. Can't say I'm seeing any parallels to Brooklyn in that neighborhood though. haha

My artsy update to the two Tony buildings. I'm surely going to jail for this.

Certainly not from a 'rows of Brownstones" way. I guess my reference was to the way the Rutledge Hill area if transforming by adding blocks of low-rise, residential buildings built up tp the sidewalk on narrow two-lane streets. Not brownstones with stoops out front.

Albion Residential, based in Chicago has completed their purchase of all the land needed for their new residential tower at the south end of downtown. The Albion on Division street will be 270' tall with twenty-one floors, making it the 35th tallest building in town if standing today. Backing up to the I-40 southern loop, it will be right at the junction with I-65, looming ahead of drivers heading north. Groundbreaking will be first quarter of 2021.

This information is per the Nashville Post: https://www.nashvillepost.com/busine...sells-for-155m

That reminds me a lot of the original Virgin hotel design that unfortunately got scraped. I'm seeing a lot similarities in Nashville's building designs.

Vanderbilt's new 20-story tower certainly makes an impression.

The massive redevelopment of the former convention center site is still trucking along, with the two towers nearing completion overall, while heavy exterior construction wrapped up several weeks back.

And this is not even the full list of food & retail options. A mixture of local and national brands.

Amazon 2

Craiger at UP posted the link below.

https://epermits.nashville.gov/#/per...tNumber%20DESC

It states.

This permit includes the following scope of work: Core and Shell construction associated with Tower 2, including core, envelope, and building systems associated with levels 5-26 + Rooftop/Mech Penthouse for office building sitting on parking garage...refer to structural frame permit #2020023897 and master permit #2019001585 for related permits...

Does this mean 26 stories total plus mechanical as opposed to 21 stories?

From the west this morning..

The Conrad Hotel in Midtown's Broadwest project is rising in the right center and will eventually be 35 floors tall. It has 12 more floors to go.

Does anyone know of a webcam looking at Nashville Yards?

I'm interested in watching the progress at the site.
